Inspection Criteria for Virgin Inkjets
- Case should be absolutely free of cracks and not broken.
- Contact Area should be flush with cartridge Body. Make sure that there are no cracks, bubbling or any indication of ink seeping under the contact.
- Flextape should not be peeled off, broken or gouged.
- Nozzle plate should not be gouged, cracked or have holes.
- Fill / Drill Hole should not be replaced or show signs of being tampered.
- Remanufacturer's Labels should not be present and cartridges with no labels are not acceptable.
Nozzle Plate/ Print Head:
Ensures:
- The cartridge cap has not been removed and glued back again.
- Non-OEM hole drilled into the cartridge.
- No seal or cover over the Labyrinth (bubble generator)
- No sticker on the cartridge other than the OEM.
- No ink in the cartridge.
- No small ball rolling around in the inside of the cartridge.
- No plug or ball in top fills hole besides OEM.
How does Cash For Cartridges determine if the Inkjet is DAMAGED?
Checks:
- Damages to Flex tape:
- Bubbled.
- Peeling from ends.
- Ink appears under the flex tape or it is discolored.
- Cracked or scratched flex tape.
- Damages to Plastic Case:
- Look for cracks especially on sides and corners
- Damaged or broken hold down bracket.
- Excessive scratches on plastic case.
- Damages to Print Head or Nozzle Plate:
- Deep scratches on head.
- Holes appear on head.
- Nozzle plate is missing.
- Nozzle plate should not be gouged.
- Loose nozzle plates.
- Labyrinth (bubble generator) and its cover should not be cracked or leaking.
